Tai sabaki (Body movement)

Gedan no kamae Low stance – hands held low
Chudan no kamae Middle stance – hands held at mid-height
Jodan no kamae High stance – hands held high
Mawashi 180° pivot on both feet
Irimi mawashi Enter and pivot
Ayumi ashi mawashi Walk and pivot
Tsugi Ashi Aikido gliding walk

Tachi waza (Standing techniques)

Katate dori sankyo Wrist twist pin from an opposite wrist grasp
Shomen uchi ikkyo, nikyo and sankyo First, second and third pins from frontal strike to the head
Kata dori ikkyo, nikyo and sankyo First, second and third pins from a shoulder grab
Ryote dori tenchi nage Heaven and earth throw from both wrists grasped
Mune tsuki kote gaeshi Wrist outward throw against straight punch to the stomach
Yokomen uchi shiho nage Four corner throw against side strike to the head
Yokomen uchi irimi nage Entering throw against side strike to the head
Katate dori kokyu ho Breath power exercise from a grasp of one wrist with one hand
Morote dori kokyu ho Breath power exercise from a grasp of one wrist with both hands

Suwari waza (Kneeling technique)

Ryote dori kokyu ho Breath power exercise from a grasp of both wrists

Ukemi Falling techniques

Yoko ukemi Side breakfall

All techniques should be performed using both omote and ura forms
Omote- moving to the attacker’s front (positive side)
Ura- moving to the attacker’s rear (negative side)

All techniques from prior ranks also to be performed with greater proficiency
